AUTOCLAVE

Autoclaves add considerable versatility to the production process: these can be used to produce single large items (aerospace sector) or numerous smaller items placed in the autoclave at the same time.

This is the culmination of the earlier production processes, as the surface finish of the product depends on this stage.

Polymerisation takes place by exposing the material to controlled temperatures and pressures:

• The temperature cures the resin;
• The pressure forces out any excess resin and gas bubbles trapped between the layers;
• A specific cycle is used for each material, depending on the application for which the finished item is intended and its expected performance.

The polymerisation process in our autoclave is certified by AgustaWestland.
